Lionel 22nd April 2020

Angela, It won’t be difficult remembering the good times and funny moments as we had some many of them with / thanks to you over the years. The “benny hill” moment one skiing holidays when you witnessed Alan’s innate ability to load skis onto the bubble lift, the snow angels outside the hot tub, the toffee vodkas and “ski in” that followed! The belly laugh in a Parisian restaurant when a lobotomy joke too many nearly precipitated Danny’s birth (being half French would not have been so bad!!) Your cooking ability? It was legendary of course, but I will also remember the “affogato Armageddon” one Xmas, where the alcohol sent a few of us over the edge!! The crazy dancing when ABBA came on. Your unique style of supporting the kids from the sidelines, or any English team in the pub for that matter. I’ll say no more! Your sense of style? Remarkable and unwavering, looking great at all times and consistently hosting impeccable dinner parties. Talking of impeccable, party decorations were always a focus, even if others did not always appreciate them fully... setting fire to the centrepiece one famous Xmas dinner! Your sense of timeliness - getting everything ready with military precision - was matched by your ability to leave yourself 500+ presents to wrap 2-3 hours before Santa’s arrival. I’ll miss all of these things and more. Angela, your love of life was infectious, as was your smile. Your devotion to your children and husband, your fierce loyalty to family and friends will be remembered by all that knew you well. I’m proud to have known you for so many years, I’m lucky to have been part of your family, I’m going to miss you. I miss you already. With love, Lionel
