Ange Thirty years is a long time, but not long enough. I was looking forward to growing old with you and starting that business we used to daydream about. You were smart and strong, from the first day we met and became friends, to our very last conversation. Constant, centred, knowing. And always fun, upbeat, capable, honest, gorgeous. You had what matters my friend. I have so many happy memories of times with you which I will always treasure. Chips in bed after finals, nights at the subsidised (!) bar at Shell, that afternoon being your personal shopper, wedding dress hunting, line dancing, table dancing, chicken in white wine sauce, cheap chardonnay, sandwiches for lunch with Neighbours on TV. I will remember ho you took me to every exam for four years, so I didn’t miss (another) one and know matter where we were, you could be relied upon to know where the nearest loo was, and to correctly split the bill, whatever the hour. Later french fries and bubbles at Claridges and Spa at the Grove when you were so fit from all your running and cycling. Quiet lunchtimes in Marlow and Gerards Cross. I will also remember your beautiful wedding. Your sheer delight at becoming pregnant (which made me bring my own plans forward!) and your joyous 40th. How Alan, Danny and Jamie are perfect for you, and you for them. A precious friend, a dancing queen, with groove in your heart. You will always be in mine. Lisa
