Angela, my amazing friend. You have always been a wonderful support to me. From having the patience to help me with my University maths work. To letting me join your NCT classes so that I could test out my design projects with Danny, your kind group of mum friends and their little ones. I am so thankful for my friendship with you and Alan, who have always looked out for me. Offering me a room in your beautiful home to stay after University. Your warmth and hospitality for both friends and family was truly incredible. I have so many happy memories with you in Gerrards Cross. From delicious home cooked meals, teaching Kaia football skills with the boys in the garden, many BBQs in the sun, Christmas lunches with your world renowned sausage rolls and watching movies and sports together as a family. You were always there to meet me at the airport after a long flight from Cambodia. Greeting Kaia and I with your beautiful smile and taking us home to your house where we would have so much fun. Over the last few years, I have leaned on you to give me advice and your thoughts on how to be a fantastic mum. I always felt like I was learning from the master, you were such a wonderful mum which shows through how incredibly kind, funny and thoughtful Danny and Jamie are. I know your spirit and love for life will always live through them. It was your courage and determination that made you book a family trip to visit us in Cambodia. I have such lovely memories from those two weeks. Exploring Angkor Wat in the baking sunshine, going to see a local circus, sunbathing in a luxury resort and enjoying many delicious meals together. It was a fantastic time and I will always treasure those happy memories. I am so sad that you never got to meet our newest arrival Seren as I know just like Kaia she would have really loved you. I know that you had a very special connection with Kaia and I cannot thank you enough for all your words of wisdom on raising children. Especially how important a packet of Cadburys buttons are on a long plane journey and the importance of good shoes. You showed me how to put a nappy on Danny and even helped me weaning Kaia. I remember you giving Kaia a piece of toast and cheerios when I was scared to give her any solids. You were a superstar mum; it was easy to look to you for advice as you made parenting look so easy. I will miss our chats, your positive attitude and happy outlook on life. I loved how you were so determined to live life to the full and would just book a flight and come visit us whenever we were back in Scotland. You were an incredible lady, kind, thoughtful and brave. A true friend who was always there for me and a remarkable aunty, mum and wife. Thank you for all your support. We are all missing you lots, love you always. Louise, David, Kaia and Seren
